Desde a época 1995/1996 em Alvalade, vindo do Lourinhanense e apenas com 2 épocas emprestado ao Estrela da Amadora, Tiago é o elemento com mais anos de Sporting no actual plantel.
Aos 35 anos, Tiago prepara-se assim para terminar a carreira no Sporting.
É importante ter jogadores deste tipo no plantel, para ajudar os mais novos e para passar a tão falada "mística".
